Contests & Giveaways

Lace Doily Gathered Skirt Winner!

I made this skirt as part of a tutorial on how to sew gathered skirts, but as much as I love it alas it is not my size. This is great for somebody out there though because I am giving it away!

The skirt is a gathered dirndl made of a lovely cotton fabric, a floral lace pattern that reminds me of old school doilies. The skirt has a side zipper and a pocket and is machine washable. The waist measures approximately 40".

  17. I believe I could wear it to church. I have a cute blouse that would go with it and even a little sweater cardigan I can match it up with. Looks like you did a beautiful job sewing it. Sewing is my worst nightmare. I don't know how I ever earned my sewing badge in Girl Scouts years ago...I think they must have felt sorry for me!
